JackOff

I’m not gonna dwell much on Brexit. I had this big, long post, but what can I say that hasn’t already been said a thousand times already?

See that picture of the bus up there? £350 for the NHS. That’d be nice. Here’s Farage (one of the two main Brexit campaigners reneging on it the day the results were announced).

What a cunt, eh?

But that’s the tip of the (cock) iceberg.

This kind of sums it up for me:

A few days after the vote, I had an Uber driver – Indian guy, second gen – tell me he voted Leave. “I want the UK to get its Sovereignty back,” he said.

“What the fuck are you talking about? Sovereignty?”

He bumbled around a little, trying to define sovereignty and then, finally, admitted he voted Leave because he hated Polish immigrants.

“Well they just don’t belong here, do they?”

Unfortunately, we were driving up the North Circular at the time, otherwise I’d have told him to pull over and let me out right then. I did give him one star, though. Small victories.

Anyway, I was umm-ing and ahh-ing about staying in the UK before then, but by 4am on 24th June, my mind was made up. I’m outta here. JackOff.

Anyone want to buy a flat in Palmers Green? It will almost certainly not massively decrease in value over the next few years. A grand off if you voted Remain. Ten grand premium if you voted Leave.

      1. I’ve been looking at Canada! Ha ha. Turns out, if you have a degree and pass an English speaking/writing test, you can emigrate over there pretty easily – particularly if you land a job somewhere.

Don’t sell the flat if you can help it though – that’s your pension, right there.

      2. I am not in a position to buy your flat, Jack. Thank you for the opportunity.
I think you would like the Greek island of Corfu. Yes, I know that Greece is in the ### but don’t let that stop you. Australia and Canada are far too big.

      3. Corfu is a paradise. Earning a living is pretty much seasonal (May to September) but entirely possible. You can rent for under 300 a month if it’s long term. Maybe less. Buying property is fiddly but there are many bargains all over the island. In the end, it all depends on your personal circumstances.

  1. What makes it worse is that now Farage has announced he is resigning as leader of UKIP. So now Farage and Boris have left behind their mess for someone else to clean up. If I wasn’t at university I would have left the country by now!

  2. I can’t decide if I’m like “WOO GO YOU, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA” or like kinda sad for no real reason except that fuck the codsbollocking Brexit vote for giving all the good, sweary people an actually decent excuse to leave this silly small island.

  3. Well, I’d say move to Colorado, but no one in their right mind would move to the States with the impending lesser-of-two-evils presidential election looming. However, keep in mind, pot is legal in our fair state. That’s something, I guess.

    1. Yes, it is a worry! I’m running out of non-racist options. I’ve been to Colorado. Was there about 18 months back for Christmas. Went to one of your weed emporiums. Man, you guys are creative with what you can infuse TCH with! I got very ill on some sort of Gatorade thing. “Don’t mix it with booze,” they said…
